However in such case, French law 2004-575 of 21 June 2004, article 6, I, 4° states (courtesy translation) :
The fact, by anyone, to present to the [hosting provider] a content or activity as illegal pursuing its withdrawal or to stop its broadcast, knowing such information is inexact, shall be punished with one year of imprisonment and €15.000 fine.
